Oscar: Everyone's excited

Oscar, who got our Capital One Cup campaign off and running this season with the third round winner against Bolton, discusses his Wembley motivation and trophy targets at Chelsea.
That victory against the Championship side in late September seems a long time ago now, but it was the important first step on the road to Wembley, where the boys in blue will be hoping to lift silverware come Sunday afternoon.
We dominated for long spells against Bolton, who surprisingly equalised shortly before half-time. It was left to Oscar to drive in the winning goal, his first of the season, 10 minutes into the second half.

"Wembley is like the perfect stadium. "
He has fond memories of that day and our subsequent win at Shrewsbury, when the Blues again prevailed 2-1, that evening in the wind and rain of Shropshire.
‘That was a difficult game against Bolton,’ recalls Oscar as he talks to the official Chelsea website after training this week.
‘I was happy to score the winning goal and help the team win. It wasn’t easy though and again against Shrewsbury it was difficult. That is English football. The first half was hard but in the second half the team played better and won the game.
‘It’s satisfying to think that we played these games, which might at the time look like smaller games against smaller teams, and now we are here in the final of the competition against Tottenham at Wembley.’
Oscar mentions England’s national stadium with a smile and if he features on Sunday it will be his fourth Wembley outing. He was in our team that lost the FA Cup semi-final to Man City in 2013, while he represented his country there in the 2012 Olympic final and in a friendly against England the following year.
‘I’ve played there three times,’ he confirms, ’and I want to win there because every time I’ve played there I haven’t won!
‘Wembley is like the perfect stadium. The pitch is perfect, the ground is beautiful and the atmosphere is great.
‘Everyone is very excited because we all know it’s a big game and we have been training every day towards winning this game. We are all very motivated and we really want to have this trophy.

‘Personally I want to win every trophy at Chelsea. I won the Europa League and now in this final I can win another one. It’s a fantastic opportunity.
‘If we win it then it can give us even more confidence for the Premier League and the Champions League. When you win one title you feel great. We will try to do that on Sunday.’
