Eden Hazard’s 18th goal of the season won the weekend’s big match and sent the Blues 10 points clear at the top of the table.
The goal, superbly finished after one of the best moves of the game, came before half-time with Hazard then striking woodwork not long after it.
From that point on Jose Mourinho’s men were prepared to allow Manchester United plenty of the ball but the visitors could not find a way through our strong defence. The closest they came was a strike against the outside of the post, after which the threat died away.
‘We’re top of the league!’ rang out around Stamford Bridge shortly before the final whistle blew. Wins at Arsenal and Leicester in our next two games and the title is ours.
